Just dropped the cam off. He said it would be a few weeks before it's done. I guess he is slammed and he said he has a few in front of me. Basically that puts me to a hault. I think I'm going to get the trans to the trans guy.

I also need to order new rod bolts. Should I get new main bolts?

Also, I talked to my trans guy. He said 200-300 for labor and what ever extra for parts. What all should I look into getting for upgraded internals for my 700r4?

Finally got the rod and main bolts in. That was a joke, there is no reason it should take 2 weeks to send me a few bolts... I won't be ordering from them again.

Hopefully I will get out of work early tomorrow so I can drop them off and check on the motor. I wonder what his excuse will be this time...

Couple of questions on my mind...
1) will I really benifit from a tubular k member or should I spend the $400 elsewhere?
2) suggestions on a new oil pan?
3) is there anything I can recoat headers that actually works and won't burn off within 10mins of run time?
4) what is needed to get the 11" ZR1 wheels to fit in the rear? BFH?
5) I was just reading in the latest issue of gm high tech performance that the waterpump cuppler (the one I posted a pic of way back during dissassembly, all rusted out) that they are pretty hard to come by. Suggestions? Mines toast...

I would go with a tubular kmember.

But then again I start to lean more towards the track side of things as time goes on.

My car has been on the road for a month now and I have only driven it 300 miles. A lot of that time has been spent at WOT

I have 10.5" wheels on the back with a 53mm offset and I didn't have to do anything to get them to fit. If they are a 56mm offset you might need a bfh.
