Not really. Nothing has been done. Main thing I'm worried about is all the little "extras". The while I'm there type of stuff. Plugs, wires, opti, longtubes, water pump, motor mounts etc. Main goal is get the car to move under it's own power before I work on the body work and paint.Originally posted by Gregs_gsxr View PostWOOHOO, coming along, get any pics ?2002 Z28 Camaro A4

Picked up the hood and header panel. I was kinda disappointed because i was under the impression that the hood wasn't damaged. Well the right rear corner was dented from the accident. Either way it is much better then the one that was on the car. Plus I was expecting to have to pull the parts but he already had them pulled by the time I got there. Also, he gave me 4 head lights for free with the header panel. So im not so upset about the hood, it should be an easy fix.

Good to know, although I don't think I'll cheap out on a opti because I don't want to install a new in for awhile (hopefully). Not saying the Chandler won't last long but...Originally posted by nascarnate326 View PostI do want to chime in and point out that a true "budget" build is possible.
Plugs are relatively cheap, wires are 30 bucks for duralast brand, opti is 90 for a chandler.
I was told all the cheap stuff wouldnt work...yet my car runs great with it.
O was planning on pulling this out of the garage today and messing with it but the lake is taking top priority

That 100 is the difference imo. There is a reason cars like Joels seem to run so much better for the mods done than other cars

I'm sure the true-duals and the LS1 lid help - but that cam he's got is killerOriginally posted by c0ncEpT View PostYou mean there is a reason Joel's cam only car makes 380 and CC503 cars with lightly ported heads make 325....Gone but not forgotten: 1986 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z

This may be a stupid question... Since my motor is a 355 with new rings, pistons and bearings but stock crank and rods. Would it be considered as a stock bottom end? How high would you suggest I rev to? Obviously depends on cam.

actually the weak point on high rev's will be your opti. They don't like to rev more than 6200 or 6500sigpic
