I bought my old 93 Z28 back, now it needs some TLC

Not going to lie I'm a bit frustrated with the machine shop. He hasn't given me a single update on the motor. I'm 99% positive he hasn't started it yet. I mean I understand I left him hanging for a year but I'm still a paying customer. Am I at wrong? I sent him a message on Facebook only cause I haven't had anytime to stop by with work being so busy.

I know he is busy, but can he be THAT busy?

I guess I don't want to smother him since he is getting me a pretty good deal on labor.

Gave him a call yesterday, he said he has been very busy. He told me to call first thing Monday and he would order the rings and pistons!!!! Finally getting somewhere

How much power do stock connecting rods hold?
Also, still need to know what's needed to remove header panel. Don't want to leave a tool behind and not be able to take it off when I go to pick it up.

bring the usually tools, socket set, screw driver set, PB blaster a must! , a hammer to change the attitude of some parts lol, and a radio for good car working tunes, and a cold beer

Stock rods will hold all the HP you are doing even probably spray. If in double now would be the time to change them, did you have crank redone and new main and rod bearings done? if not don't worry about rods.

Just dropped some cash off 10 min ago. He said next I'll need to choose my cam. The crank is in spec and he said he is just going to give it a polish. All new bearings will be going in.
