You want a softer sidewall tire such as an slick or Bias ET Street. The sledge hammer really shocks the tires and you need a soft side wall to absorb a bit of that and not just blow the tires off.

I thought drag radials and ET Streets were the same. Cause I was looking at Mickey Thompson ET Streets, in 275/40/17Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. they are nowhere near the same and these guys are all right a stick car CAN work on a radial tire but until you cough up the $ for a nice set of adjustable shocks I'd move to a bias ply tire to get the car to hook well. A stick car shocks the driveline so much so that the stiffer sidewall of a radial tire won't absorb it and you'll spin them much easier than you would a slick.Originally posted by Fox Slaughter View PostI thought drag radials and ET Streets were the same. That is millimeters so: roughly 10.8in wide. with a 4.3in sidewall making the overall tire height 25.6in.Originally posted by Fox Slaughter View PostSo if I have 275/40/17s right now I have no idea to know what that is in standard?
Just for reference 25.4mm = 1insigpicAnd another thing.....when I gun the motor, I want the whole world to think it's coming to an end.

Well it said 11.5 so I thought I need a 11.5 in rim but it says 8 to a 10.5 rim.
I'm pretty sure that is a tubless tire to according to MT site right?
So tires are sorted out now.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. I need to get one of thosesigpicOriginally posted by ryanwarby01Put it this way, if you have a money tree a LT1 is a wood chipper!

The car is going to be seeing Woodward and gratiot mostly might see the track a few times. I was reading ET Streets are not that good for driving on the street espeically if you hit rain. Should I still go with them?Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. yeah i saw that after i postedOriginally posted by ThreeHonks View Postthe tire you are talking about is the link above your post sean
yeah no.. these would be a track only set of tires.. unless you dont drive in the rain or other bad weather.. no DR or slick would be good in the rain. nittos are the best but they also dont hook near as well tho. but those are stil a DR which are not very good on a 6 spdOriginally posted by c0ncEpT View PostIf you want to hook yes.
