anyone know how much some forged 5.3 pistons might cost and where to find them? rods? just thinking if the car isnt going to make it out this year maybe i should shop around for some forged internals. wouldnt be against used stuff. thx. looking for injectors and headgaskets for the 5.3 and a rebuild kit for the 80e now. just bought a truck so that ate into funds for the bird but the wifey wants a camper this year. have to keep her happy or nobodys happy lol. so my build isnt going as fast as planned or wished but oh well. looking for deals to move ahead

What gear ratio for a 9" would be ideal? Thinking a non lockup converter so was thinking 3.0 or 3.10s. Which brand without breaking the bank? Thanks

3.50/3.70 depending on how high you want to spin it and running 28" tires.

26" tire , 6000rpm, 5% slip, 0.750 trans ratio? What mph 130? Comes out 4.53???

Your not going to run the 1/4 in over drive - use 1.0 for 3rd.

3.50 @ 6000 w/5% slip = 126
3.25 = 135

If you plan on running that fast - I'd consider going 28" tires

Dont know how much track time ill get without a cage and im not looking at getting one soon. So best optimized street setup. Both my street tires and DRs are 26" so ill stick with that. Thx Jeremy
