    nope. in fact. here is a tip to all you guys putting in studs and head bolts. Make absolutely sure the bolt holes are DRY before putting studs or head bolts in. If not, you WILL crack the block

      Just like every other LS based motor LQ4's do not have head bolts that enter the cooling passages. You must be thinking of something else.

        i just took off the heads off our 6.0, 2 of the bolts, longer ones if I remember right, have corrosion right in the middle of them...engine does run doesnt burn or leak anything.

        • shouldnt be. were the heads off before? you mean the 2 shorter bolts.
          early blocks have 2 shorter ones. 2004-later are all the same

            Now you say that I dont remember it was last week, and the '52 chevy is at the steel shop in Redford...not something I can just run to real quick lol heads where not pulled off before. I wish I would have took pics of them cause it was odd to me too when we seen them

            that 6.0 is a 2003 that its the '52
            the other 6.0 is 2002 or 2004 thats in the LeMans

                    If you use the correct sealant/use it properly there shouldn't be an issue. I've made this mistake before.
