Just had a friend and the guy who purchased my 4L60e stop by with a surprise. seems he had laying around a dual fuel pump out of a 99 camaro. Said I could have it. much to my surprise they are walbros. he said they worked when pulled. how do i go about testing these? anyone have a part # for the walbro that i can double check? any thoughts, ideas, or concerns? also just found out they are the gss307 model which isnt the ones everyone wants even though it is still twin 255s

The gss307 is a pump that a lot of the buick guys used before the gss340 came out.

The gss340 is more suited to flow at high pressures.

That being said - I wouldn't be surprised if they'd work just fine for you.

I assume your going to stick with return less fuel system? At 60psi you shouldn't notice a difference in flow.

Returnless? dont think ive gotten that far in my research lol. im going to keep it as simple as possible if it will suit my needs.

If your not going to add aftermarket rails, regulator and return line - i.e. leaving it stock, your fuel system is considered returnless

Yes - your factory feed line will limit you before the twin pumps will. Those are good pumps, not as good as the newer pumps - but they'll get the job done.

Larry - yea yea......it's close enough - fuel doesn't return from the rail

Would it hurt to hook up a 12v source and make sure they work? what would be the proper way to test them

i wouldnt power them dry

Just be-careful if you plan on running fuel through them. Have an extinguisher available.

Trust me - burn treatment is not pleasant.
