Once I figure out the exact direction I'm going we will work on all of that. If I go with the old school stuff, I will need headers and a radiator and a new starter, maybe an ac compressor too. If I go with the LS stuff the list gets a lot bigger. Motor mounts, MSD, accessory set up off of an LS Fbody, Oil pan and dipstick off of an LS Fbody, intake and carb etc..

maybe you should come visit me, I have probably have extra stuff laying around, and will let go cheap for ya. I have a brand new summit SBC harmonic balancer still in the box, I have a buddy that has mid length or shorty style headers laying around, I think I have an SBC ac compressor, I know for sure I have an LS air compressor too I have clean claim shells, block side for SBC too, radiator you can get from Murrays in Walled Lake for 115 new and you can use it for SBC and LS. I'll check to see what else SBC I have laying around for ya

Sounds good! Thanks man! Basically I'm waiting to check out a 383 that my Uncle has. Its built and ready to go. Our schedules dont really match up so I'm having a tough time getting over there to look at it. I have a little over a grand stuck away and I'm waiting on another $1500 or so to show up in my bank account. Should be within the next few weeks. I have found a few different engines on craigsllist and other sites. Once I have the cash, all of the cash in hand I will start finding fun ways to blow it.

Well I found a 2001 5.3 in a Chevy truck for dirt cheap. It has a rattle but runs good. A little over 100K on it. Just waiting for it to be taken out of the truck so I can get it on an engine stand and tear into it to find the rattle. I will be looking for all of the swap parts, LS1 fbody oil pan and dipstick tube and all of the other odds and ends. I may need some parts for the motor as well depending on whats wrong with it. If you find any parts anywhere keep me in mind please. I was hoping to find a motor that was ready to go, but for the money I couldn't pass this one up.

Sounds good, they are pretty easy to work on as well, between myself and my buddy, we can find or get what you need. I'll pm you a good website for dealer stuff locally at under retail prices.

Also now that I have my swap under my belt and know what issues I would run into again and have the knowledge on how to solve them the next swap will be done so much cheaper and way faster

I'm looking for some tires.. Anyone on here know someone that works at one of the tire stores? I'm also looking for a radiator. Something better than the stock one. Any radiator shops locally that do custom stuff?

As some of you know on the site here, my car was rear ended a few weeks ago and pretty much destroyed. I'm looking for a clean, solid roller or a nice car with a hurt motor or transmission. Any help from you guys would be much appreciated. I have looked at a few already. Its looking like I am going to wait until spring to pull the trigger and buy something. I'm back in an apartment and storage is an issue at the moment. If you guys see any ads or know of anything that someone has sitting around please let me know. I'm pretty depressed about mine and haven't even had the ambition to take any of it apart yet. I had a lot of time invested in that car and it was a great project and reason for my Dad and I to spend time together.
