  • If it were me I would install a 4th gen fuel tank. I have one out of a 1999 Trans Am.

    • 3rd gen tank is fine though unless your gifting him the tank

I think the 4th gen tank has multiple benefits over the 3rd gen tank buts thanks Greg!

          • Thanks guys! I will have to look up the guy on here that has one. As I said before I will more than likely carb it to start with. I think for the carb set up all I will do is upgrade the pump. Later when I run the injection I will run a fourth gen tank if I can find one. The house we're in in does not have much storage space so I have no room for an extra tank at the moment.

                        • Going to carb a LS? Or your motor you have now? I wouldn't carb a ls it's so easy to drop a complete package in and roll...

That said I think you should do a carbd sbc build but I am biased.

                          • Yep. I just dont want to swap the harness and play with all of the computer stuff until I paint the car. I know a few guys running carbs on their LS swaps. They run really good. All I would need is an MSD 6LS to fire the coil packs.

Not sure if I did those links right but these are a couple of guys that I have talked to about it. Darren if you know anyone that has anything I would be interested in checking it out. Not opposed to the old school stuff, but it has to be nice and it has to make over 300 horsepower.

                            • Obviously I wouldnt want something this fast to start with, but these guys are saying with some motor mounts, headers, the msd box and some, other little odds and ends I could have it running and driving.
