My problem seems to be on the bottom and not really with the fender itself. The PO of the car obviously tried to jack the car up right by the bottom fender mount, damaging it a little. Jon and I tried to straighten it out a little and we might have moved it too far. After playing with that area we got it to line up well (passenger side) but I will need a few body shims or some washers to be able to get it bolted in where I want it.

    • they must be king cobra fenders, my passenger side fit the same way, just take a lil time to tighten the bolt enough to hold the upper body line to the door, massage the bottom a bit, I actually had to use a spacer or two, but they fit and all body lines match up with out a problem.

I never did find anymore information on them, they very well could be. After we played with the passenger one for a second it lined up great and look perfect, the top has 3 or 4 bolts in it and the bottom isnt bolted in yet, I was going to use 3 or 4 washers to get the correct spacing, is there any problem in doing it that way? I just need the bottom to come out a little to be flush with the door and to eliminate the gap. I assume the drivers will be the same way I just didnt mess with that one yesterday.

        • nothing wrong with using a couple washers, get stainless steel ones or you could get trick and cut and weld in a section to extend the bracket out.

Thanks! I was planning on using stainless washers so I will continue with that plan then!

            • it also wouldnt hurt to spray from paint or under coating on those washers too

                • Looking good. I've always been to be careful to make sure the fender sticks out ever so slightly more than the door to keep the front edge of the door from getting beat up up from dirt and such.

I already chipped the paint ever so slightly opening the door and not being to careful.

Thanks for the compliments guys I am starting to see this thing come together, even with just the slight wet sand I can already tell I am going to be happy with it. Cant wait to polish it and see what it really would look like. Keep in mine this is the first time I have ever wet sanded before so I am a noob at the results.

yeah... This weekend was one of those 100 step bask weekends, bummer.

How the car sat most of the weekend

This came out pretty mint, well its getting there.

Hood looks good, still needs a little work

gotta love the system... it works, kinda.
