  • Martian knows what hes talking about for sure. I'm starting to like the smaller cams. More torque down low to help the car accelerate early in the run.

    • Yep he mentioned that. Full power at a lower rpm as well. Think rpms are what killed my last two engines

                • Whats the benefits of going with the t7875 vs the tc78? I could see if I had an engine built for boost, but my stock 5.3 will it make that big a difference?

                  • the tc78 has a 68mm exhaust wheel and the 7875 has a 75mm exhaust wheel.

The bigger wheel will have less backpressure

Which turbo did Martin spec the cam for?

                      • We talked about everything except a specific turbo. I just said a turbonetics 76mm. Guess it will make a difference. Better start saving my pennies

                        • The +6 is advance ground into the cam. It moves the intake centerline.

I would spend the money on the 75mm turbine. Its just a better turbo all around for pretty much any V8 application. Your going to make more power with it and not lose any spool time over the 68mm IMO.

                          • If you ever want to make power down the road, more than 600 rwhp, the 7875 is definitely wise to purchase now. Will save you money and time having to swap later on. The TC78 will work great now up to about 600 rwhp, however the 7875 will do the same and do it at less boost as well along with giving you more room to grow!

                              • If the 7875 was available when I bought my turbo I would have likely went that route. If you are looking to save money, On3 is supposed to release a 7875 around Christmas time. Jonny, have you heard anything about the on3 7875? Think you might be able to source them?
