    • Henry says a lot of things.. I would bet that one or more of your bushings its bad throwing the geometry off on the A-arm making it clunk and squeal and make the shock seem like its not even there..

      • Shock was junkkkkkk! But that's what I get for buying cheap shocks. I'll be getting it back together tomorrow as they didn't have a new one in stock....go figure.

          • Saw the video on facebook, Sorry to hear about your pogo stick..

On a more serious note, Im glad it was something simple and nothing bent on the car.

            • I am glad its fixed now Put the new shock/strut (what ever the hell it is) back in. I'm getting pretty good at taking these in and out I'm just glad it wasn't the drivers side with that pesty bolt under the master cylinder. Drove it around town (also picked up its first load of groceries ) no issues.

It does scrape the air dam in the front a little. I have to get use to what entrances I can come in hot.

Finally some pictures in the sun today! I need to polish it out yet and still give her a really good cleaning. Its going in for an alignment tomorrow.

I cut the springs in the rear a bit more, it didn't change much. It didn't seem to change that much, although I didn't do a before and after measurement.

Tint will be this coming week

                  • Back definately looks better. When my car gets out of paint I have to drop it a little in the front lol sits like a 4x4

                    • I notice an improvement on the back, i think its perfect just the way it is. In order to have a level chasis you will have less gap in the front than the rear. Looks awesome!

                      • Thanks everyone! I finally put some fun miles on her today.

Took out my buddys full bolt on 99 Cobra Then he lost 2nd and 4th lol.

I did a quick wash under the hood today. It still needs a good amount of attention but not bad compared to what it was.

                        Sorry for the terrible pic

                        After

I also did the first mod today! I installed Nicks Lid. What do I do with the air hose? Can i plug it? I ended up pulling the fuse which threw the check engine light on. I know i can get it tuned out but I don't plan on spending money to tune little to no mods at this point. I know I can remove it as well but that will still throw the light. Any suggestions?

Also, I think I have a plan on how I want to start building this car. I'm going to do what David did (1999black_z28). Get and install the heads, cam, springs, rockers, hardened pushrods, head studs etc and run it like that for awhile until I work out any bugs and am collecting turbo parts.

                          Plans for a new grill?

Thanks! Unofficially I plan on removing the stock grill and filling in the mounting holes as I don't want to put money towards an over priced aftermarket grill just to end up removing it later to get more air to the intercooler.

Thanks Raz. I got Gabriel shocks. I spent a good chunk of money on Bilsteins on the 93 and I really didn't see the point. The car sat more than it was driven. I might be mad at myself later on but for my plans with the car (a fun street car) I didn't see the point in spending tons of money on nice shocks.
