• A buddy of mine (though he wasn't the brightest) Just ran straight pipes back and I think muffler man or whoever did it charged like 100 bucks. Actually didn't sound bad and was really loud.

i have these and they fit awesome. they are cheap and you could pretty easily sell them in a couple years to make some of you money back. pair them with that $275 true duels setup that HSP has on here and you'd have an awesome sounding car for pretty cheap.

That 2otl is pretty quiet. A guy is "suppose" to be meeting me from ohio next month as his wife just had a baby. He is putting his 97ss back to oem.

Is the extra $40 worth it for 1 7/8s over the 1 3/4? Also what are you using for gaskets? formula218

i'm not sure, id say go big or go home, it's only $40. if you don't car about the couple HP then the 1 3/4 are fine I'm sure.

no gaskets, the were all slip fit with clamps included.

YES. If anything you won't wonder "what if"

Wish I had did the 1 7/8. I doubt it would be any faster but still wish I would have did it.

                        • I wouldnt do 1 7/8 unless i was making that level of power or planning to. Always better to match a combination and you also have more room to change plugs etc.

Also the 2OTL should not be quiet. Mine was pretty loud. Make sure it doesnt have the "cone of silence" if so you should be able to remove it.

For the gaskets I was referring to the header ones. Did you just use the ones they come with or pay the extra for the "gm" ones.

It's might have had the cone I'm not sure joel. It was welded to the muffler so I didn't want to bother cutting it and re welding it.

                              • If you're looking to stay cheap and just get "some" noise for now. Why not just replace the last muffler with something, Magnaflow, borla. Cheap-ish and will make more noises than it does now.
