The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. I took one coil off my front springs but I wish I would have did 1.5.
I guess I just miss the slammed look and my true duals tuck up pretty decent.
Back of my car is stock spring with heater hose. Again, I would like to take just a little more off, maybe half a coil.
What's the ride quality compared to stock?
Does anyone know if I have to pull the axles to put longer studs in?

No problem - I am happy with the ride, but can't really compare to BMR or Strano's setup as I've never been in a vehicle equipped with their springs before.

[MENTION=254]JoeliusZ28[/MENTION] has that setup I believe. I remember him saying it seemed really firm at first but it either loosened up or he got used to it.

I have KYB AGX. I have them at the max setting for stiffness. Ride like it's on rocks
I had it at a lower number before and the ride was better than my park avenue. Cornering seemed to remain relatively good the lower I went. 10/10 would buy again.

Just the front springs and yes it road like a tank when i first put it together, practically hurt my back. But yes it did loosen up and i have no complaints now. The car corners hard. But a cut stock spring at the same height will ride noticeably better.
What i like most about cutting stock springs is you maintain the factory balance. Right now it seems like the rear "follows" what the front does...its hard to explain but i dont like the progressive springs i have in the rear of my car right now. Static rate all around ftw.

My cut springs are not as "hard cutting" as the pro kit I had on the black car but the suspension in this car allows you to drive it all day long with no issues. Joel and I went to St Ignace last year and it road like a dream.
I still think that going a little more would have been ok just so that it looks a little better. Probably something I will say forever and never actually do because of how well it rides right now. I do have tubular upper and lower control arms. I assume when you do the turbo you will get tubular k member and control arms.
Got a pair of the new tires in. I'll be picking up a set of 10 spokes this weekend. I just don't want to deal with putting new studs in and hoping the widened 10 spokes clear.
I'll be painting the wheels to save some money. I think I'll be going with the stock color but I'm still unsure at this point.
Edit: I ordered 2 more tires today.

Just throwing this out there..even though you didn't ask for it: Go with something a tiny bit darker then stock. Not quite gunmetal but something just enough to vibe with the black sail panel.
Ive considered having my wheels redone with Cyber Grey Metallic...but I love the 35th look too much.

I'm definitely open to suggestions I'll have to mess with some colors or look at color chips we have at work.
