      Update,

Going to look at an l98 tonight. Hopefully it checks out alright and I'll be taking it home. I'll post an update later tonight with some photos!

Bought the l98, looks like a great engine. Also came with the computer. I decided to change my mind and will hopefully be keeping the tpi on top. As of right now this is what I know I need:

        - wiring harness
        - fuel pump
        - chip (will be tuning with the help of a friend)

I am keeping the t5 behind it. I do not want people saying, "swap to a t56." That will come in time. I don't drag race, and I don't show off. What other things do I need to keep the tpi? I saw on thirdgen someone said that I would have to change the memcal. What does this mean? Do I need a computer from an LB9 t5 car? If someone could please elaborate on this I would be very appreciative.

Thank you in advance. Hopefully I will not be changing my mind again.

The ones listed by Jason seem to be for auto cars. Not a huge fan of Hawks Third Gen, but you might have to call them for a specific TPI/T5 harness ($350)

As for fuel pump, just drop the tank and install a Walbro. I have some used OEM pumps if you want to go that route.

Let me know if you have any questions on tuning. If you have the OEM memcal, you can UV erase and program that or get a Moates adapter and a flash chip.

If it's only $350 from Hawks that's what I would do.

may want to give Brandon a call, he has a lot of nice 3rd and 4th gen parts and his prices are very reasonable too call or text him, he is on the west side of the state but does ship really quick.

Brandon is a great guy to deal with, been to his place many times.

I'll have to check what years will interchange for sure, but I think 91-92 C100 connectors have the same pinout. 1990 is slightly different, would have to move one wire and remove another.

Sounds like I will have to give Brandon a call. Anything is better than paying $350 for a used (I think) harness from hawks. The majority of ones people sell are anywhere from $100-$200. I will give him a call later on today and hopefully see if he has something. As for the tuning, I plan on buying moates G1 Kit with the Burn2. Will this be sufficient?

Sweet! Congratulations on the purchase. If I had a TPI setup in-hand, I'd use it too. I think it's one of the best looking induction setups there is.

That doesn't help any. He needs a 91-92 TPI manual trans specific harness to be plug and play

Because the t5 was only offered with the 305, will that affect any specific sensors for the 350? Would it be easier to try and repin the 305 tbi harness? What about finding a 350 sd tpi harness and converting it for the t5? Sorry for all the questions, just trying to figure out what I need before I try and search for it.

You will want a 91-92 305 TPI/T5 harness, reworking a TBI harness would be a major PITA.

Did you get the 7730 ECM and memcal from that engine? 7730 have the knock circuitry on the memcal itself, no external ESC. The right fuel pump and a couple simple changes in the BIN would get you on the road.
