    Jeremy,

First, thank you for all the info! It's definately a lot easier to understand reading it from someone who knows what they are talking about. Secondly, after looking more into the different setups, I agree that tbi would be very simple. It would make the car a great driver for the summer and it should be stupid easy to do. I don't race, but I do like being thrown back into my seat.

Of course all of this comes down to time and money, and I want the best bang for my buck.

If you are thinking TBI, there are several good build threads to read on thirdgen.org. Look in the TBI section. There's a slick controller upgrade call EBL Flash that allows for excellent control/tuning. Lot's a threads there to read that are very educational, including EBL's own site.

        Dave,

I will for sure be looking at some of the build threads and I have heard if ebl flash, a lot of people seem to love it. I have been looking at tbi info for more than an hour now and it is giving me a lot of hope.

So I was researching TBI for the majority of yesterday, and this is what I found out I will need:

          350 injectors
          350 esc module
          350 knock sensor
          Custom Chip

Now, I would like to tune my own chip, but I cannot afford the $380 for the EBL. What chip burning equipment will I need to purchase? Also should I use my stock TBI Intake or look for a used carberated intake and use a TBI adapter?

              Alright thanks Tyler!

Also do you guys think that 240 rwhp and 300 lb of torque is unreasonable for this setup? If will have full exhaust and maybe a cam if budget allows.

I think I'm going to look up the specs for the lt1 cam and maybe the lt4 cam. Then compare them to the l98 cam. But dang, those vortecs are quite the engine when done right.

My buddy has some TBI stuff from his old 350 that he might be willing to let go of for a deal.. said he has an aftermarket (im assuming edelbrock) TBI intake, the TBI unit itself.. so instead of trying to swap stuff around.. you could just sell your intake and TBI and use this one already setup for a 350.. just a thought.

If you want to go TPI:

                      http://howellefi.com/tpi-harness-198...af-sensor.html

They can burn your PROM chip too. ...and they're local.

They are making the stand-alone harness for my LS3 in my project.

Jeremy, that might be a good option. Really depends on the price. If you could mention something to him that would be great.

Jason, unfortunately I just don't have the money to afford that harness. Plus I think it's more hassle than it's really worth. Thanks for the link though!

dont remember specs on hotcam. or stock lt4 for that matter

Not sure if a ZZ4 cam would do you any good for your build, but I have a nice one I'd sell. Made good power in my Dad's vette with the zz4 aluminum vortec heads with a bunch of torque

he said somewhere around $200-$250 on it all.. I guess the intake and TBI unit are pretty much near perfect.. he said he'd get me pictures for ya.. not a bad deal considering that intake alone is listed for $299.. let me know where you would be at on it.. he might be able to work with ya on the price some more. (kind of sounds like he might just throw in the rest of the TBI stuff he has laying around too.. sensors and such)

                                Tyler,

Thank you for that link, it will be really helpful when I get to picking a cam. Just read over it and it looks like almost everything is there for cam choices.

                                Jim,

I have heard great things about the zz4 cam, but I have too look deeper to see what else I need to run it. If you could pm me with a price in mind that would be great! Thanks!

                                Jeremy,

That is a very good deal for that set up, I know those intakes are expensive! It would be worth every penny if the tbi unit already has the correct injectors and sensors to go along with it. I will send you a private message, thanks!
