How much will an ls6 intake help? Will I need different injectors? Or will stockers work?98 z28, m6, monster clutch, eibach pro kit, custom twin turbo setup, 317 heads, z06 valve springs, arp rod bolts, 512rwhp at 10lbs. cobra eater

everything will swap directly over to the ls6 intake. it is best to get one, that LS1 intake is a bottle neck on top of your ported heads and larger camOriginally posted by Gaspo View PostHow much will an ls6 intake help? The first two links Re the same. I'll bid on the ebay one... Anyone know of good tuner? Considering going back to maf tune. Which better for head/cam motor? Any ideas on a good tuner? Don't want to pay baker 450 to 500 for some fine tuning98 z28, m6, monster clutch, eibach pro kit, custom twin turbo setup, 317 heads, z06 valve springs, arp rod bolts, 512rwhp at 10lbs. cobra eater

1st 2 links are not the same. one is a ls6 for $400 or $325 with your ls1 intake, 2nd link is $325 for an ls6 intake..Originally posted by Gaspo View PostThe first two links Re the same. That's the unfortunate part about speed density tuning - it's relying on a certain amount of air to be coming into the combustion chamber. If you change ANYTHING that allows more or less air to flow into that combustion chamber then all of the tables which tells the computer how much fuel to dump in is going to be off. In order of "most tolerant" to "least tolerant" for modifications it'd be Closed Loop tune, Open Loop tune, then Speed Density tune. Personally I would prefer the closed loop tune all the time, but from what I understand our PCMs just don't have enough speed to be taking in all the data when in closed loop to adequately handle an aggressive cam or more aggressive mods.- Brian Meissen

you can't judge an SD tune based off your setup, you changed some major components and that would require a retune with a maf tune as well. I would agree though that using the maf for a daily driven street car is the way to go.Originally posted by Gaspo View PostMaybe it's just my phone.
