Where is there supposed to be a seal?

see below...the seal helps create pressure inside the lid as your speed increases

                      • thats actually a SLP ram air setup but very similar to the FTRA, the seal will certaintly help you can probably go to a hardware store and buy some thick foam and tape in in there. I used to have the same one and they work well but I went bigger.

                          • so havent posted on here lately.. i think i'm going a new direction with the car. heads/cam is fun and all.. but i miss turbo WAYYY too much. i'm pushing around 430-440rwhp on this setup. i'm going to run it at the track once or twice, then pulling the motor. really leaning towards a 6.0 and turbo. should i keep these heads for a turbo build? or do i not need ported heads for a boosted setup? i wonder if anyone would trade my somewhat built ls1 for a built 6.0?

I would have kept those heads and went with E85 if I didn't need the extra money to fund the turbo
