Its like on a bbq right? Carbon from the burned up food gives flavor right? So it was just flavoring the engine. How many miles were on it?Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. I'm going to say not taken care or rolled over. I've torn down engines, my LT1 with 105k, with over 200k miles and didn't have anywhere near that much sledge.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. Ran fine other than a little oil leak and the timing being a bit off... but we just felt it was time for a rebuild. My Dad is hoping to take it out to PA and back on a tour this June.Originally posted by nascarnate326 View PostThing is, for as bad as it looks....it still ran right?
The main drive-ability issue IMO was the suspension, which will be completely rebuilt with new bushings, springs, ball joints, etc.2000 Trans Am l 1967 Firebird

State Motors on Gratiot is where we had B's engine done. Ph 586-294-5660 owners name is Rich. Cam did not look worn in picture, just discolored. I think older oil sledged up when you started and ran short trips not getting engine to operating temp.sigpic
