I don't want to spend a small fortune but I would like to avoid adapters if I can... However my inter web searching is proving to me that there's not many direct bolt on wheels. I would prefer 17's I'm not sure how I feel about 18's.Originally posted by WMCCjames View PostHow much you looking to spend? What sizes are you looking for?

no point in selling 17's just to buy 17's again, so many 18" wheels selection out there.

Ive never bought wheels new so I don't know exactly what to expect, I'm also not opposed to used wheels. I sold my wheels for $650 and have other "car" money saved up. Now that I only have a few small things left to buy for the car I can buy wheels/tires.Originally posted by WMCCjames View PostSo....how much are you willing to spend on wheels and tires? You out don't think 18's are too big for my car? I'm pretty low and I really don't want to make too many other modifications to fit wheels...
Where can I look for wheels specific to a thirdgen ones that will bolt up with no spacers or adapters?
I highly doubt I could afford or fit your tires...Originally posted by OVRKILL View PostX2......and I have tires for ya!
i also sold my 17's for a few reasons. The lack of center caps and being able to buy any and fitment issues in the front... Also they seemed to get way too many negative comments even tho I liked them. 17's is what I feel is perfect for my car but I'm not closed minded to 18'ssigpic

I have not heard any bad press on them. They are, however Chinese cast wheels so I'm not sure if they are JWL certified. When buying any of the off-shore brand cast wheels it's a good idea to make sure they are JWL or VIA certified.Originally posted by Darren View PostWhat's the word on Riddler wheels?sigpicTurbo Charged LS1/T56

315's are a big tire for third gens. Usually requires BFH'ing the wheel wells and cutting the bump stop. Depending on how low, you will need an adjustable panhard bar and possibly rolling of the fenders. But damn, they do look nice!

Will not be putting 315's on my car, there is absolutely no reason too. 275 was purely for looks on my old wheels and will probably be the same tire I put on my new wheels if I can but in reality 255 is plenty.Originally posted by hoogiesngrinderz View Post315's are a big tire for third gens. What style?
I couldn't find anyone that produces the ZR1 style in the correct offset anymore. They are getting harder to find, and it's too bad they were only 8" wide.

That right there is the issue, I dont know what style! lol I would love 17 chrome irocs but thats almost impossible to find. Everywhere that sells them "new" realize their website is out of date and that they really dont. Do you know places I can look to find wheels that are thirdgen specific? I asked about Riddler because seems like they do, they are just on the pricey side for something I dont "love"...Originally posted by hoogiesngrinderz View PostWhat style?

Zr1 wheels in the correct offset would be nice, Chrome Irocs (17's MAYBE 18's) or something off the wall. I just dont know where to look to get ideas.
Also what am I looking for as far as backspacing, 0 offset right?sigpic
