I just painted it, I wanted it to be an exact match and you know how clean I would have had gotten the inside of that oil pan to PC it? Even with over a hour in the parts washer there was so much oil in there would have set off the biggest smoke bomb ever in the oven. I painted it and called it good.

I got quite a few of my parts ready for the oven tho. Also got a huge parts to hit the sandblaster. I am just having a hard time on deciding what to PC and what colors to use... Also dreading the work its going to be to PC an alternator and such.

On the engine note, I should be having some parts ordering and showing up soon. I think the cam and other valvetrain has been figured out and a carb picked out as well. I am hoping April is "my" month for the engine bay to be painted and for the motor to be together. By the first week or two of May engine be in car and be running and on all 4's by end of May and on the road JUNE 1ST! That is my goal, any bets on it?

                  • Minor set back with the windshield, I will get past that. I have just about everything (once I get home and open my boxes) to put the car back together. Only thing left to figure out is fuel lines from the stock lines to the carb. But that is going to have to wait until the engine is back into the car. I have the front nose all dissembled (again) and will start prepping it again for paint. I have removed everything else that I am going to from the engine bay and have it 80% sanded, going to finish that up and then spray primer. Will hopefully have something that resembles a engine after this weekend, but I still need to track down a power steering pulley puller so I can clean up my bracket and get that powder coated. Everything else is practically coated and ready to go will finish it up tonight. I just have to finish my valve covers or get new ones.

                    • Do you know what happened to the windshield? I mean how does that happen? Was it something you realize you did by accident or someone else did maliciously?

I have an idea, but by no means was it malicious unless Eric broke into my garage and smashed it. No biggie, it'll get replaced just not sure by insurance or out of pocket (if I have insurance do it, my car needs to be back together).
