    • I'm not too familiar with the 186 casting, but they came from the good years!

Some say they get these flowing 240+/190+ cfm which I think is a load of !

A good ($$$) port job and 2.02/1.60's might flow 220/170 cfm. If you can find someone better, and doesn't charge more that $500 to redo those (porting included) I'll give you the carb I have.

      1998 Camaro Z28 - Bright Red, 6.0 TR224, 4l60e, 3.42 Eaton TrueTrac
      1989 Camaro IROC-Z Convertible - 355 big tube TPI, WC T5, 3.42 Zexel Torsen, CTS-V/C4 brakes
      1955 Bel Air 2 Door Post - 357 TPI, Muncie M20, 4 wheel disc

I'll be looking more into it here soon, I have 2 places to take the heads to to consider getting them worked on, I'll keep ya posted but for now I think I am set on using these heads. I am sure I will be happy with the performance of the car once its all done, if it gets there.

I think heads will be January/February project...

        • The guy that did my heads is a magician with the old heads, I'll get you his number if you'd like to talk to him.

I'm not trying to make a sale for a friend, I could really care less if he sells his heads $600 complete aluminum heads + the cost of an intake might be better than to cost to get those old heads redone, valves, shims, seats, valve springs, retainers, locks, pocket port, etc. Those e-tec heads are $629 each new!

I'll consider it, just not in the car fund at the moment.

                • I'll just post them, they are fair game. A friend of mine built a few different setups before he let his 87 sit (beautiful car, for sale as well)

Edelbrock E-tec 170's, used but complete from Edelbrock
Came off a 383 that made 430 with a "baby cam" he said
He said $625, I think he will accept $600
He also said $700 with roller tip 1.5 rockers, I think $650 will take it all.

If he doesn't drop price I'll personally make up some of the difference.

It does look good! Its the hood latch and brace support you really wont see it at all besides the top where the hood comes down. But still

that would be sweet, possibly what hes doing in the new room in the garage?

Edit: likely not seeing the pic of the bracket hanging on a wire, powder doesn't look like that when first applied. Does look like a new blast cabinet though.
                              Doing less with more

I am having trouble deciding on colors, so give me some input. Obviously my car is white and red so we will keep a theme going here. Should I paint the engine, black or red? If I go black should I do the acc brackets in a red?
