You'd be surprised what a 10 bolt can take... I've been barking 4th gear with my spec stage 3 for a good 6 years now. For me, my tires have always been my "fuse."-Joel

I'm really more worried about the T5 behind the low to mid 400 hp/tq engine
Well, if I remember right, the dyno software said 442hp 433tq...I think both numbers are 20-30 high. I don't really care for numbers though as I just wanted a healthy mill that would react to how far I put my right foot down.

Another option would be to run a lighter flywheel. Would take some of the sledgehammer effect out of it.
Downside is it just transfers some of the shockload to the engine-Joel

Won't be power shifting this one too hard. Hell, third gear will sometimes break while accelerating hard in these trans haha

Alright so lets
this back up for this winter...
Last drive of the season (had to take it around the block one last time, even tho it barely started and barely moved...)

The way its going to sit all winter with a lot more torn down soon...

Part of the reason the season was cut short, this and a clutch

Picked up a few things from a good buddy of mine, thanks again!
Mint Dash pad:

New emblem, I think I like the silver better...

Plans:
Drop trans and evaluate. I am thinking a engine rebuild as well but its too early to tell with that. I need a new clutch and I need to clean up a bunch of things underneath the car. I have a feeling that one thing will lead to another tho, I just dont want to get in too over my head. So this will go one step at a time.
I also plan on doing some interior work, starting with some dynamat or something similar, major cleaning and some small changes to the interior.
So I guess we will see what this winter brings...sigpic

Nice find on the dash!
What are your complaints with the interior? IMO lets bump up subframe connectors as they will stiffen the body up and reduce rattles. Then consider a heat/noise/vibration damper for the interior. Being that you don't have a/c and usually drive with the t- tops off I think installing a "dynamat" like product would reduce the amount of heat transfered through the floor.

I know, thanks!Originally posted by bri2203Nice find on the dash!
Good call on the sub frame connectors I forgot I had those still, I am also planning some other suspension stuff as well. My complaints about the interior is mostly noises and wanting to clean it all up. I want/need new carpet cause mine is quite bad, really want/need some sort of sound/heat damper like you say. Nothing extreme just simple stuff in there.Originally posted by bri2203What are your complaints with the interior? HP goals?
I still have that fresh T5 sitting in the garage. Updated sychros, cluster support, all new bearings and yoke bushing, .56 overdrive, and Core/Hurst stick (with stops) on it.

Not 100% sure, if anything just a mild 350 will be in this car, no big HP goals dont even care about HP mine is a true street driven summer DD car.Originally posted by hoogiesngrinderz View PostHP goals?
