just some scrapes on the front nose nothing serious but needs to be prepped correctly so it looks better then the last car!

I thought for a minute I was in your thread with all the BS clutter... this is a progress thread with a project I appreciate it to stay on track and not be filled with BS. Thanks!

          • stock to what degree? i know you want to keep the originiality of a 25th anniversary edition car but i also know you wanted different rims, wouldnt that take away from the whole stock car but better type image

Yes the car will remain stock appearing as far as the 25th anniversary style, white with red stripes and red interior (I decided I am keeping it red). But as for the wheels I will change them in a heartbeat. I am keeping the original wheels because they are the cleanest thirdgen RS wheels I have ever seen minus one center cap. They will clean up extremely well once I get the dust off of them. But I really do want better looking wheels.

                    • Enjoyed the "warmer" temps tonight and got some work done, no pics nothing looks different. Got one quarter panel 90% done just need to sand it the rest of the way to get it smooth the other side isnt going to well and its starting to piss me off! Visited my buddy at the parts store and got just about everything I need to get the 350 running smooth and everything to finish my AC delete, etc. Also AJ helped me score a good deal on a AC delete pulley today so that should be coming in the mail soon.

Will have some good updates later this week as I have a set of wheels coming from the other side of the state and some tires as well, looking for two more tire tho. Should have most of the car in primer once the weekend is over, that is my goal at least...

                      Stay tuned.

                      • Let's see some pics after primer!

I think I'm Gunna rip my car apart for paint this weekend aswell. I'm think I'm Gunna try and do a mix of red and black interior since those seats are red unless I plan on getting them recovered. Also a cage might go into this weekend it would be a good time to finally switch to my black passenger area carpet instead my gay looking gray carpet.

If you go black seats Darren I will be interested in your red backs seats if they match this seats I bought from ya

                        • Just to make sure you know, the wheels do not have center caps. I couldn't find any on the net, but I think with a little measuring and research you will be able to find caps that work.

                            • Monty I will take some good pics this weekend if I get my goals accomplished. I have sorta changed gears for a few minutes and concentrating on getting the engine running well and cleaning up the mess I made with the AC delete now that I have all of the parts. I am hoping to be able to prime the doors and front fenders and begin block sanding them. I am only doing this because the car is going to sit for a while before actually getting painted. Don't worry guys it will be getting primed and sealed the "right" way when that time comes. Going to hold out for nicer warmer temps, planning on painting come March/April

Yes I know that, I cant complain for the price. Way less then the last set cost me (although those came with spacers and tires...) however I already have a few ideas for center caps, I did find some Fitti caps on ebay tho so worse comes to worse I can go that route.

Thanks man, have you ever painted a car yourself? I know Jon and I will and can use all the advice we can get, we are both pretty much learning on the fly here.

                              • I haven't done a full complete car by myself. Usually the painter and I tag (double gun) team it. He does one side I do the other. I work at Varsity ford as a painters helper. I do door jambs, undersides of hoods, hinges etc. When he isn't here I'll do a couple of jobs. Usually a hood, blend fenders it hood, fender, blend door, bumper. Since it's a body shop it's not often we get full repaints.
