reading owns you.
The AIR system, the ugly pump and vacuum lines and such that is on the drivers side of the engine bay up close to the head light bar. I'll shoot a picture this weekend when I start removing it all. Most of my lines and such for the emissions is already blocked of or removed.sigpic

Very easy to do. Remove the pump, replace with idler setup if you want to keep the same belt and routing. Or swap to a smaller belt and re-route. If the tubes are already gone all you should have is two connectors from the harness left.

I dont think we are all on the same page here, the stuff I am talking about has nothing to do with the serp setup. I have already removed the AC and SMOG pulleys and my serp setup is about ready to go back on. I am talking about the canister in the drivers side of the engine bay. See the crappy picture below.

That isn't AIR, but it is part of your emissions. All it does is pull the fumes from the tank and purge them into the intake.
I really need the brackets and bolts that mount that canister to the car!

yeah I guess calling it the AIR pump was bad because that is the same as the SMOG but this is apart of the AIR system or emissions all the same thing. Most of the shit is blocked off already, so its not needed correct? I will be removing it this weekend I can save the brackets for ya, worth a couple bucks? I dont know. Since your already coming by the house.Originally posted by hoogiesngrinderz View PostThat isn't AIR, but it is part of your emissions. Can you argue that it's "revolutionary"? Perhaps. Just because it's "new" and "different" doesn't mean it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.

K. I have a brand new canister, just no way of securing it and having it stock. You can sell that on ebay for a few bucks, I just need the metal off the bottom and the bolts.
TBI or carb? There should be three lines coming up the driver side frame rail - feed, return, and vent. I'd run a line away from the exhaust and then top it with a small vent filter.
