The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. Overall yes, about the same condition maybe a little better then the last set I had and I was pleased with the way those came out. I plan on doing these one's nicer since I have time. I unwrapped them but didnt look them over to closely yet besides the one you pointed out. It really isnt that bad a little curb rash is ok for some used wheels. Thanks for making the trek and nice to meet ya although briefly!
Good, I hate feeling like I might have made them out to be nicer than they really are. But, for $150, I thought they were nice when I bought them Good to meet some faces from the forum, hopefully I can get the car(s) finished for some meet and greets this year.
Oh, look into the Dunlop Sport Maxx tire. Similar tread but much more selection in sizes. If you want to keep the same tread pattern, search for SP 8080 as well.
Michael please do not get that I am not happy with the condition, trust me I am very pleased for $150! I paid much more then that for the last set (tires and spacers too) but you get the point. I think they will clean up nicely. I am going to sand the clear, polish them and clear them again. I dont mind the missing center caps because honestly the ones that came on those wheels are ugly IMO I can order new replacement ones if I want for about the price of the wheels tho! I like the idea of finding more of a custom cap for them!
If anyone has idea's let me see them! Or if anyone has advice on sanding wheels and polishing let me hear those too. I was looking at Johnny's thread when he did his and was going to follow his methods...
you can go with a 275/40/17 on the back and you wont have any problem at all.. i would suggest doing that rather then a 255/45
The tire manufactor won't agree with you, Most tire brands will suggest a 9-11" wide rim.
Will the tire blow up? Not likely, I am not a tire/rubber engineer but I am sure the heat build up is different when installing such a wide tire on a narrower wheel.
and in my opnion the tire will look too wide for width of the wheel and it will handle worse.

what do you mean to wide for the width of the wheel? But a tire 255 to 275 will fit? I just want to know what I should be looking into going to hopefully order two more tires to get on these things. I am sure 255 is "wide" enough for my car it really doesnt need anything else.

Those rims aren't meant to be centered by the lugs.
See the lip on the center? I have the rings to go from the lip size to the rim size. 60mm to 73mm, or something like that...they were correct for my setup.
