      • Same harness, not caught on anything, and routed the same way as the old motor, where the #8 primary nearly burns the harness as it passes by, I initially tried it routed another way, but it was WAY to short, so I put it back the way I had always had it.

              • I believe an update is in order?

Worked solo tonight, by choice, thanks to those that volunteered your help, but after Mondays out come, it was personal, I had to kick some ass on my own.

Got it fully assembled sans tq arm, frt sway bar and front wheels and tires. All connections made and fluids topped of by 9:27, I told myself I wasnt going to start it if it ended up being after 9 as the neighbors have some young ones with school in the morning, but I said **** 'em.

First start video is coming, waiting on youtube upload at the moment...

                Video Placeholder

I was amazed that it fired right up and found idle without me ever touching the gas pedal, I was quite impressed.

                No fluids leaking = awesome

Only 1 problem with the whole thing so far, I lost the nut that holds the lower AC line on the condenser, anyone know its specs?

Only things left to do are, connect front sway bar, put the hood on, connect tq arm, put the wheels on and were good to go!

Going to try and finish that stuff up tomorrow and get it to the exhaust shop to have it all welded back up and take it for an alignment!

                      • I have ABSOLUTLY no idea what the deal with the wiring was..... I compared what I had to a picture I took before I put the 5.3 in, and it looked the same, I said F it and took the whole harness off then put it back on, it looked exactly the same as before, other than I somehow had like 8 more inches of wire for the PCM and fender well connectors. Im completely dumbfounded in that aspect, just glad to see it back together though.

Youtube says "About 39 mintues" but im willing to bet it has to process after that, quality isnt that great as my phone was dead so I had to use an older digital cam. Still a huge file though >400mb.

                        • Also have to excuse the lack of interior when the vid comes up, everything is out getting LEDs installed, so I had to dig up my old v6 cluster to use, not sure whats up with the speedo on it tho, and I also have no idea why I have an ABS inop, but my car has since been programed for my v8 cluster so I attribute it to that.

Just noticed watching that video for the first time ive got to get some black electrical tape and some loom to replace the gray tape I used where the EGR used to be....

Video kinda sucks and is boring, alot of the camera sitting and me dealing with first start crap, checking coolant, oil pressure, trans fluid, etc, but hey atleast I got it, lol
