Just got a call that a brand new EPS lobe cam will be available next week. Brand new in box cam, hasnt even arrived yet, member is going another direction with the car. Specs are 226/230 .590iirc/.600 on 113lsa. I have the PAC 1518s that are rated to .650, so that shouldnt be an issue. The EPS cams have been making GREAT power lately, and are supposed to be the nicest on valvetrain parts.

All I would have to do is back off the rockers, pull radiator, waterpump, crank pulley, pull old cam, slide new in, and button it up. Worth it?

I'd go bigger. 2* on the intake isn't worth the hassle. With 6 liters I'd be looking mid 230's - call Geoff @ EPS, Email PatG, or call your favorite vendor.

          • Just remember you like DD'ing the car, Spencer. I'd hate to see you cam it for the power and then the car not be as drivable/enjoyable for daily driving.

                  • My thoughts exactly, but I know several people who wont share there cam specs, retarded if you ask me.

                    Think its worth swapping out?

Its going to make more power than the 224 for sure but not much.

Unless you are getting a killer deal I don't think I would.

Something in the mid 230 range would make a bit more power.

                      • I agree with Mike, it probably won't make a huge difference but..... hp per $ would be good IMO. Cam is $400 and it may net 15rwhp over your current setup thats pretty decent gain for cost then again might need new pushrods as well.

Some people just honor when their cam grinder tells them to do. See my cam card below. You may be asked to do the same if you get a certain cam spec'd from somewhere.
