Yea had a chat with Phil, he said it should start and run decent, but that sounded like that was about it.

Going to pickup some gaskets, bolts, etc on lunch today, get the heads after work, and should have my iron ls2 put together by 9 tonight

If you mill or change heads you are starting down that slipry slop, you should redue the bearings aswell. Just my opinion.
you must not have seen the pictures of the engine he is putting in.. its almost as clean as new and has hardly any miles.. he doesnt need bearings nor will he for a long time.

I raised my compression from 10.5:1 to 11.4:1 on a 90k mile engine and its been fine.

Got all the springs off of my 862 heads ready to go on the 799s. Waiting on head gaskets and valve seals, ran out of time and couldnt get any after work. Picking them up tomorrow morning.

Soooo, painted the block, only picture I have, this is the passenger side, before it was all done. Used the nasty front cover off the 5.3 to protect the front of the motor, dont worry not painting the clean one that came off of the 6.0.

Came up to the house to take a break, heading back out to polish my fuel rails, wish me luck!
