you must not have seen the pictures of the engine he is putting in.. its almost as clean as new and has hardly any miles.. he doesnt need bearings nor will he for a long time.Originally posted by Plum Nuts View PostWell don't overlook the basics, if you put more compression on top then you really need to rebuild the bottom end. Got all the springs off of my 862 heads ready to go on the 799s. Waiting on head gaskets and valve seals, ran out of time and couldnt get any after work. Picking them up tomorrow morning.
Soooo, painted the block, only picture I have, this is the passenger side, before it was all done. Used the nasty front cover off the 5.3 to protect the front of the motor, dont worry not painting the clean one that came off of the 6.0.
