Smans 6.0 build up!

Nope, it was an 03, so not a dang thing needed, thats the nice thing about the ls motors. All heads, intakes, accessories, oii pans, cams, timing equipment, oil pumps, transmissions, and electrical are all completely interchangeable, 4.8, 5.3, 5.7, 6.0, 6.2. Even some of the 7.0l and lsx stuff are interchangeable.

Current state, decided that since the trans was out it was a good time to do the yearly fluid/filter change, so that ate up some time. Going back out to put the converter bolts in and put the front accessories on and were gonna call it night, out of work tomorrow at 5, going to finish it then.

Also, I just remembered that I broke the stupid little hvac vacuum hose about 3 inches before where it attaches to the intake, what do I do? Can I get some small rubber tubing and slip it over the plastic stuff and zip tie it tight on there?

This car was one of my favorites to watch and follow last year and you are making it that way again this year! I really want to hit the track for some spectating this year! 11's and 400hp shouldnt be a problem now!

Got all the accessories put on and the converter bolts in, otherwise, looks the same as before.

Official "To Do" list.....
Get a harmonic balencer bolt and rubber hose to fix HVAC
Bolt up starter
Bolt up headers
Connect wiring harness
Get motor/trans/k assembly in car and bolted up
Connect shift cable, coolant and AC hoses as well as trans lines.
Drive shaft
Oil and filter in new motor
Fill trans
Add coolant
Turn key

Should be able to do all that in 4 or so hours right? It all came out and apart in that amount of time, lol.

things typically go a little slower when assembling than disassembly lol but I wish you luck. I know the feeling of wanting to get it fired asap just make sure everything is in place. Hope to see video tonight

I'll keep this short until I'm not ready to not bash my car with a hammer.....

Got the motor in the car, and somehow the pcm connectors and fenderwell connectors aren't even close to reaching.....

I've done this 3 times to my car and once to a friends car and never had any problem like this. So motor is back OUT of the car, sitting in the garage, I screwed with it for hours and gave up, refused to even look at it today.

That's why I didnt even go out there last night. The thing is, I honestly have no idea what the problem is, its just like the wires aren't long enough. It's the wires that go to the starter, ckps, low oil sensor, I have them running behind the header coming up by the #8 spark plug. That's how I did it last time and it worked fine.

Can someone go look at their car and confirm this is how the wires are supposed to be run? I intend on hitting it hard tonight, sick of not having my car done, I've got other projects to work on and this thing is taking up space.
