      • Nope tried beating them from every direction I could. Tried a pry bar on the lip would bend my header first. Couldnt fit a putty knife under it.

            • I'd walk away and try another day... When you hit the point where you're using a BFH and a 4x4 an inch from your valvetrain, you're not making good decisions

                • Its more than likely a cork gasket that was installed dry. Try and spray some penetrating oil around the lip.

                          • The rocker covers may have been sealed with RTV and you just may need to pry up a corner to break them free. They can be easilly straightened if you bend the lip.

                            Comment

                            • Well I decided to try again. Went out and grabbed the driver bank cover and pop, it comes off. No RTV just orange gaskets. Try the passenger side, since I have a new set of covers, it was stuck. Grab the hammer hit it about 5 times and grab it. Pop, comes off. The alternator is in the way of getting the cover off. So I grab my Craftsman Upright compressor I bought Aug 2010. I had the drain valve open to let the water out last time. Screw it out and it won't seal, air just leaks out. What the hell, so keep trying won't work. Okay I'll get a new one, go to Sears get a new one, $5.29. Put in it, before it even fully tightens it breaks off flush. WTF. So I called Sears they are like you are out of your 1 year warranty, it will cost like 30 dollars to diagnose the problem so like 40 to fix it. WTF! So now I'm gonna try to tap it out with a screw driver.

If its not one thing its another. Welcome to life. Damn it.
