  • Think I'm going to order my cam tomorrow, 230/230 .612"/.592" 111+2 LSA on XER/XFI lobes. My question is, when ordering is the LSA just 111 and the ICL is 109?(to advance intake lobes 2*) That's what I've heard anyways but I want to double check and make sure.

LSA would be 111 and the ICL would be 109 you are correct.

      • Cool now I just have to figure out the lifters. I've read around that they're a little taller than LS1 lifters and I'd rather get the right pushrods the first time.

the only way to do that is to measure.

          • Yep, it'd just be a lot better if they were right the first time that way I don't have to send them back and get a different length.

            • as I mentioned you will have to measure, that is one thing you can't really have right away. Get a length checker and springs and measure it out, then order the pushrods.

              • The thing was in order to get the price in the package I had to get the pushrods as well, but they said if they're not the right ones then I can exchange them.

                • Get some 7.400. They recomend 7.425 for stock heads/lifters so if what your saying about the LS7 lifters is true than a 7.400 should work well for you. We used 7.400 in my buddys cam only goat using stock lifters and never had a problem. Valvetrain was very quiet also.

                  • I got some LS1 lifters on the way from Gaterman, ordered 7.425" in my package taking advice from a guy over on tech who used the exact same cam, 241 heads, and LS1 lifters. Will still be measuring regardless, just need to find an adjustable pushrod (I'd like to avoid buying one because that's $20 I won't be using again for a while hopefully)

                    • ok sorry I didn't understand you were ordering a package. Yeah it sucks not being able to throw it in and go but in the end you'll know its been done right.

                      • Yeah sucks that I couldn't just eliminate the pushrods from the package and order them for the same price after measuring but I saved quite a bit by ordering in a package. Thing is though I sure hope they turn out to be the right length because I have a timeframe of 8 days to work on the car, otherwise I'll have to drive back home the next weekend then get it back together and tuned...

                            • dont know yet, we are looking for a project car. was thinking a 3rd gen bird, but a v6 4th gen bird would be better. hes 11 so we have a little while to figure it out

also just got back from picking up my LS6 heads. so they are finally in my possession.

Thanks to Jeff and Mike for going out of their way and helping me out. Sweet ass jeep Mike by the way
