  • Jeff have you picked up the heads from Phil? Will they need any work done to them or are they ready to bolt right on?

    • I'm waiting on him to shoot me an e-mail, he said he was going to go get them today. They should be ready to bolt up, complete with valves and springs but your going to have to upgrade the valvesprings to accommodate the lift of your new cam.

                  • Wait you're keeping the 10-bolt? I was worried about mine being able to hold up to the power, but I don't have much traction anyways so I think I'll be alright for a while. Now the clutch is another story...

                      • So these centerbolt valve covers look really nice polished up...only took me 10hrs. plus. Still going to do a little paint work on them though.

                        • those do look really good. i took mine to work and put them in the hot tank for a couple hours. that alone made a huge difference. im unsure if i want polished or painted, still need to figure that out

                          • Yeah polishing was a lot of work, I'd say ~10 hours or so...just used my weekend/night freetime instead of playing video games. Not like there's anything else to do up here.

                              • LS1 lifters or LS7 lifters? I've been reading over on tech and there have been a few guys with ls7 lifters collapsing, but apparently you can still buy ls1/ls6 lifters through gaterman products.
