Yes, I read on tech the stockers come off but you got to beat them. Do they just sit on the ring on the middle of the shock? Where can I get some rubbers for them?Originally posted by ryanwarby01 View PostThese? http://shop.advanceautoparts.com/web...8_R|GRPSHOCAMS_____

Yes, they just sit on the ring in the middle. There is no rubber that goes in the ring if that's what you're talking about.Originally posted by mcalus View PostYes, I read on tech the stockers come off but you got to beat them. My buddy is going to try to get the old ones off then go from there. I'd hate to have my stall and trans ready to go in and have something so stupid hold me up from getting it back in.
Is the oil pressure sensor to close to the headers? It's around 2" I have heard of people moving it to the back of the intake like the late 94's and up. Suggestions? I would need an elbow then too.

Unfortunately both spots for the oil sensor are flawed. Too close to the headers mean you'll break it when working on the headers or maybe plugs, back of the intake manifold means it's at risk every time you do anything with the intake manifold.- Brian Meissen

Alright, I just didn't want to melt the sensor itself from being too close.
Talked to Tony (trans guy) I can pick it up in the morning
Woot!!
The stall should be sitting at my door when I get off work.

I've gotta say Michael, I admire your dedication and steady progress. I wish I could make a project come together this well and keep steady progress.
I too wouldn't worry about the oil pressure sensor if you keep the wires tied away securely.
You better be getting a vid of this thing once it's running.

As I was frantically calling around parts stores seeing who had 2 perches in stock I get a picture message from my buddy!

Not only did he get the stock ones off, he painted them and assembled them!!!

Thank you Jim! I can't wait to hear this run and take it for a cruise and most importantly show it off at the m&g. It's pretty easy to stick with it and finish it, here are the steps, 1) own a camaro 2) sell it 3) go a summer driving a 200,000 mile continental without ac all summerOriginally posted by birdie2000 View PostI've gotta say Michael, I admire your dedication and steady progress.
