I dunno about on a FI engine, but I learned the hard way that it'll idle really high on a carb'd car without the torque converter bolted up. Personally I wouldn't take the chance. I'd get some fluid in the thing and let 'er rip.

My to do list

I stopped at harbor freight and got a few lights so I can actually see

I got the heater core hoses ran, so all coolant hoses are done.
I got the trans connectors all pluggged in. Got the shifter cable thingy that runs from trans to throttle bracket ran up to engine bay and connected. low oil level sensor is plugged in, as for the oil pressure sensor. Bought 3 new bolts for the throttle cable since I misplaced mine.
While I was at harbor freight I also got some new wire loom (black) so I could replace the stock stuff that was covered in oil. It looks factory
can't beat 30' for $6.

Yeah I was going to get the rotors turned, they are virtually brand new.
I got the O2 sensors in. I'll need an extension for the passenger side. Got the ground and power wire hooked up. Starter wires connected to starter. Started on putting the ac compressor back in until I realized I routed the passenger side wires wrong around the accessory bracket.
Hopefully my friend can cone over and help me finish everything up tomorrow night2002 Z28 Camaro A4

How are you all wiring your EWP?
This should be running by Wednesday!
Edit: where can I get 1 o2 extension the quickest? What oil should I use for break in and how soon should I change it?Last edited by mcalus; April 23rd, 2012, 12:26 PM.2002 Z28 Camaro A4

WS6store is where I got mine.
I've heard run just your favorite conventional oil, 500 miles, change it. Then 1000, change. 1500, change. 2000 change, then normal oil changes.Originally posted by Yoshi94Mines about an inch bigger than Kyles. I think I have one laying around if you need it. For a '95 tho, not sure if it has the same connection.Originally posted by mcalus View PostHow are you all wiring your EWP?

Yeah for break in you can even just use your cheap-o store brand from O'Reilly or elsewhere. Really, as long as it's being changed on a regular basis and you're not going over the 3,000 miles it's no big deal.- Brian Meissen

It's the single wire style. It's a round connector.Originally posted by ryanwarby01 View PostI think I have one laying around if you need it. For a '95 tho, not sure if it has the same connection.
Thanks everyone!
Tonight we got the trans lines hooked up, gear selector cable and the convertor bolted to the flywheel. Also the master distributer for the brakes turned out to not be stripped but that we used the wrong thread size. For whatever reason they chose a coarse thread on one and a fine thread on the other.
How hard is it to adjust the rockers? My friend hasn't done them before so it's new to the both of us. Any info on that would be great.
Where are you A4 guys mounting your trans cooler?2002 Z28 Camaro A4

As for mounting the trans cooler, I mounted mine right to the passenger side splash guard under the turn signal.
The air dam actually forces the air up into the splash guard, we cut out where the trans cooler was so the air gets forced up into the splash guard and then back down through the cooler.

And not the best pic but you can see how we made the splices:
