Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!
If you have any problems with the registration process or your account login, please contact us!

I bought my old 93 Z28 back, now it needs some TLC
Agreed with doing gear swap as long as your not trying to pull some 1.6 60's with the 10bolt

Well I do have my nt05rs that might see use 2-3 times at the track but even then I'm not ping any clutch dumps by any means.
My 2.73 to 3.42 when I had the auto wasn't much of a change at all. I don't want to have to do it again.

Speedo works great after new tune. Still no insurance or registration but after I get moved in this weekend I'll get it taken care of.
Exhaust work will be first ok the list. I'll be putting my dynomouth back on with the new Corsa clones.

It changes everyday as of now yes. Too many damn tire kickers out there. If someone came to me with 6k I'd let it go.
I really really reallllllly want my next project to be a 99-02 turbo build. I have debated on swapping this one to a 5.3 but I also like the 98-02 front ends, interiors and I miss my ttops. So after I did all that I'd be better off getting another car. Maybe I'll give this one to the mrs. Then I can get another one wishful thinking.

Which is better and why? 5.3 is better for boost right? What are you fellas doing for the bottom end? Where can the motors be found?
Edit:
Can I modify my t56 to work with a 5.3 or 6.0?
How much is it to swap? Are any parts hard to find?

the only reason the 5.3 are popular with boosted apps in the smaller bore size allows a thicker sleeve which can be helpful when pushing them to the limit. both can be had with iron blocks which also are popular for similar reasons. Either one will be fine for the typical track/street car so I would just get whichever one you can the cheapest.

What's the going rate for one? What's the best way to get one? I would assume I'd like one that hadn't been touched then I can get it rebuilt. Vs assuming the previous owner knew what they were doing? Excuse my lack of knowledge, I have yet to buy a used motor from someone.

I picked up another pillar for my molding gauge pods. It came with a shift light and a pod.
Can I wire up the shift light? Its just the light and it has a 2 prong female plug on the one end. It seems like there should be more to it? How to I set it to my certain shift points?
