If its under heavy acceleration its probably related to the motor mounts flexing, chances are you'll find your contact mark near the front of the car.Originally posted by mcalus View PostAnother small issue I have is I think the exhaust might be vibrating against the body somewhere. When under heavy acceleration it sounds like a grumbling noise coming from the rear somewhere. It?s either the duals rubbing or I have a bad trans mount. I need to get it on the hoist at work and see if I see anything.

I haven?t done too much.
Swapped out both tensioner pulleys and both idler pulleys, installed new belts. My ?chirp? at idle went away.
Looking to pick up some speed engineering longtubes, motor mounts, plugs and wires for a winter project. I also have been wanting to do some 3.73s.

Car is looking sweet! Really like what you've done to it in such a short time. Those duals are gonna scream with long tubes, especially if you cut the cats. My GMMG sounds awesome at idle, but definetely screams at WOT, but the cam definetely doesn't quiet mine down either...hehe
I have been kicking around the idea of having a body guy do the tinted tailights like you did, but taping off the reverse section to leave it clear and bright. Other option i thought of was having them tint them by lightly tinting the clearcoat with me NBM body color as well. But it has been low on the list and haven't seen pics of the body color tinted tailights. Being a body guy, do you think the idea of just lightly tinting clearcoat with NBM would work to lightly tint the tails?mcalus likes this.Jason Ebig

Thank you! I really hope the longtubes wake the true duals up. I?ll definitely be deleting the cats. The YouTube videos hopefully don?t do the car justice because it sounds really quiet even with longtubes. I guess we will see.Originally posted by ZYA_LTRCar is looking sweet! Typically I add a little single stage into the clear when tinting the tails. Since you can?t add basecoat into the clear you?d have to make some clear base (basically clear basecoat) and add a little nbm into it then clear over that. I?d assume it would work I just don?t know how well it would cover over the yellow or red. Worst case scenario you sand it off. Also, painter not body guy, those guys are hacks lol.
I have been tossing around the idea of widening another set of 10 spokes. I?ll probably only go 10.5? wide this time around instead of 11? since I had to beat more of my inner fender wells than I wanted on the ppm car. Also I?d rather not run spacers unless I have to. Maybe 1/4 spacers and some longer studs will do the trick.
