nick do you know how much they would want for a passenger inner and outer fender? The local yard here wants $80 for one if i pull, i think thats kinda steep for the less than perfect condition it was in... but at least its not cracked.

Just google RPM salvage yard in flint give them a call and ask if they have any 93-97 red firebirds with good front pass fender (i know its there just gotta ask so they give ya a good price) And they will give ya a price if you pull it or if they do...i know they have a white one too just fyi so if the red one is gone the white one is most likely still there. I went 2 weeks ago idk if the cleaned the yard with the nice weather or not...but the white one is up high so i doubt they have moved it

Drained the coolant last night via the knock sensor per brian's suggestion. Surprisingly clean dexcool came out of it. I still need to pull a valve cover, but so far there is no evidence of oil or coolant mixing, or even bad coolant.

possible its just an intake gasket then and its getting into the combustion chamber like that

Shouldnt be much for fender. We snagged a 95 camaro fender for $38

Pulled it off & told him , we'll give him $38 for it... caught him off guard. Usually when you ask for a item/price they set the bar right there & then

But RPM has been a gold mind for parts.

Well yesterday i did a compression check on 5 of the 6 cylinders and all were at or above spec including the #1 cylinder which i was most concerned about. So today i started the tear down. I have the upper manifold off, and as you can see in the picture coolant was entering the #1 cylinder. Now what I am trying to figure out is why the heck i can't get this lower manifold off. Either I am missing a bolt somewhere or this thing is glued on. GM definitely put enough BS on this engine, im not looking forward to putting this back together.
