  • only one elbow on the 3.8 fbody. The kit comes as 2 elbows, they are different sized, just figure out which one of the two you need. And yea intake gaskets are a problem on these cars. Get the metal replacements from felpro. Should be the revised updated ones. Also goop up the corners of the valley with RTV as you do it

The only thing I am missing is that coolant elbow which advanced auto couldnt seem to find.

                      • Update:
                        • All 6 spark plugs are replaced (that was fun )
                        • The bad plastic idler pulley that ruined the old accessory belt is now replaced with a new steel one.
                        • Some time was spent cleaning things up and I plan to be putting the lower intake manifold back on tomorrow.
                        • I also popped a valve cover to check things out under there - still no sign of sludge deposits or milkshake - appears this engine was taken care of like the rest of the car.

                        • Only setback so far is the heater core hose issue which i posted in another thread.

Still not sure at this point as it depends on my job situation, but most likely I'll probably sell it.

Don't leave it in your car in the winter... Mine broke by leaking battery acid all inside of it, Barb's broke the same way except I can't even open hers anymore.
