Well, that takes my willingness down a notch but either way, if you need a gopher don't hesitate to ask. I literally turned my ass around on my way home last night to drive to Berkley for my uncle - I figure if I get out at 4pm I got 2 hours of "free time" until Angie gets out.

        • sorry I didn't check this thread recently to see the question. The walbro goes into the 3.8s just fine. I ditched my bucket and ziptied the pump to the metal frame because I didn't want to glue the bucket back together and risk it coming apart or something. 6 years or so like that and it still runs like a champ. No big deal. Plug setup plugs right in, no rewiring.

But I see you cancelled your order anyway so my reply means nothing other than clearing up the confusion and guessing that was going on. lol. The newer 3.8s with the venturi pump I suggest the racetronix for.

That's what got me thinking Racetronix. One of my brothers has a '00 W68, and we were looking at pumps.

Should of hit up your closest NAPA and got the cheap one.

Too many stories of them only lasting 15k miles... Better of with a used factory pump imo.

                  • Fwiw... I ran a racetronix on my 99 v6.. it was just a walbro with their worthless billet cover on it.. I had to take the cover off to install it. It looks like my brother cleared up the other confusion..
