  • Those should sound good. Had them in my old Formula minus the tweeter and was happy with them.

        • I already have these in the back of the car and even with only 2 speakers they are enough to be heard over my duals. This should help them not have to work as hard though, definitely a good set of speakers. 4 of them should be louder than is desirable to the ears

                • Not sure, i hade the basic cassette head unit in my car originally. Other than that internal amp my car did not have one.

Those had a Bose system which had small amps at each speaker, vs. the Monsoon's one amp that powered them all.

Door speaker w/ amp, for example:

Ahh ok. Bose was an option. Thats what I had on my LT1 car.

                        • Yeah I have Bose in mine and running a Pioneer Head unit. Which isn't that great because the head unit puts out higher wattage then the amps just step it up even higher.

                          • Made it over to the house today and made some progress... nothing really worth taking pictures of though. Most of what i did was cutting and grinding to get my alternator to fit into its new home. Not an easy location to maneuver cutting tools. I will say this job is more involved than I was led to believe. Going to be a snug fit. Also got a new aluminum driveshaft ready to swap in (hoping to fix a vibration). Next time I am there I hope to get everything bolted into place so i can measure for an accessory belt and start with the plumbing for the power steering.

                              • Thats what i thought too, expected a 100% bolt-in. Apparently for some people it is, it was no where close to fitting in my car. it should be good to go now i cut the (unecessarily long) bolt down for the sway bar bracket as well as the tab for the kmember on the frame rail.
