  • I have a 110v welder if you ever want to borrow it, you gotta get your own materials though.

      • I need to learn how to weld first. Besides, the first project would involve dropping the rear subframe on the M3 and that would take too long.

        • I need to quit being lazy and wire in a 240 outlet in my garage.

Please don't call it 110 it annoys me haha. Its 120. Indoor electricians call it 110 because 110 is the lowest voltage you want to see. You really want to see 123/124 for optimal life of your electronics.

I havent had it in the car since 2007. I really havent missed it, when this car comes out i usually want the ttops off not the ac on. It has made the engine bay infintely easier to work in.

I ditched the heater core on my 69 Chevelle, it was my first car and told myself I'd never drive it in the cold...second worst decision I've ever made with that car, number one was selling it

                • Yes the one you have was in my car for a few years, you can see photos of it in the pics I posted a couple pages back. I know have a manual flaming river and that's why I sold it.

I still am scratching my head. I dont know why your having issues.

Have you cut it or done anything to it since I gave it to you?

                  • The photo you posted on 136 shows you have the alternator where the power steering pulley is supposed to be?

Did you look at the photo I posted on 135. Alternator goes on the very bottom by the tensioner.

Unless I'm looking at it wrong you stuffed the alternator where the power steering pulley was supposed to be. Alternator goes at the very bottom and has plenty of room to clear as you can see in my photo with a stock lt1 alternator

                        • My phone will not let me play them. So you are having to re do the whole thing or just modify it? You did something wrong installing guaranteed.

                          • Watch them on a computer when you get a chance, I dont think i made a mistake the alternator was in the right spot and i tried flipping it 180 too. All the brackets people posted on LTxtech had the upper mount for the alt about an inch more in the direction of the engine than this one was. It would have worked fine in a more spacious engine bay but not mine.

Im not upset about it or anything, so no worries. I am curious how you made it fit though.

Edit: all i am doing is changing the piece you had bolted on for the top alt mount to a different one.

                            • Joel I'll check them out when I get home this weekend. Hope you get it squared away and it works good as it did for me. Forgot to tell you I have a billet aluminum lt1 block, maybe that's why it didn't work lol
