  • 98 LS1's have 28lb/hr injectors and 99+ is 26lb/hr. Base pressure is also like 56PSI

Let me know when you wanna work on that suspension. I'll swing by.

I've read that 99 & 00 were 26lb and 98, 01, and 02's were 28lb. Either way, LS1's run closer to 60 psi like Mike said. Running your stockers at 56-58 psi would be like running 30lb at 43 psi

Edit: I think my numbers are a little off, but you get the point...right? Time for some sleep!

          • Shameless plug: If you do the 24x swap I have a set of tall polished valve covers with LS1 coils mounted to them as well as the custom MSD plug wires to work with them. I'll let it all go for a pretty reasonable price if you want them.

            • Im going to be running the racetronix in tank kit with theyre hotwire kit. And then picking up a set of ford green top injectors. Ive heard nothing but good things about the racetronix kits.

              • Another shameless plug:

If you do the 24x conversion and end up having Joe @ Downriver Motorsports Wiring do the harness, have him do the wiring for your fuel pump too. He just did a "hotwire" upgrade for my fuel pump by actually upgrading the wiring to and from the factory fuel pump relay. Much cleaner setup IMO and he kept all the wiring inside the car instead of underneath. I had a bunch of other work done too so I don't know the exact price for that item, but I doubt it was much if any worse than the Racetronix wiring kit.

Im sure im sounding like a broken record here, but this my problem with the racetronix kit: Why is it not sold already assembled in the plastic bucket or as a complete sending unit? I cannot reuse that plastic bucket a third time, so I will need to find one somewhere if I go this route.

Please keep the shameless plugs coming! I already have coils, but I am very interested in the plug wires and the valve covers w/mounts if you are willing to seperate. Also do you happen to have a coil harness? Need one of those too

I already have an engine/transmission harness, it just needs to be modified for an M6 transmission. I guess we'll see how complicated that is.

                  • Do you have the LS1 coils or the truck coils? Unfortunately these valve covers are setup for the LS1 coils and the truck coils currently won't fit. No, I don't have a coil harness, sorry.

I do have a stock fuel pump/sender assembly that hasn't been apart if you wanted to buy it so you can get the Racetronix setup.

I believe they are truck coils from a 5.3 but they dont have heatsinks on them. Either way im interested. I dont want to kill a whole bunch of time fabricating things, i can always sell the coils i bought again. I may be interested in that sender too.

Ok cool. Yeah, mine have the heatsinks on them which I'm told means they're LS1 coils and not the truck ones. Let me know if you decide you want anything, they're not going anywhere.

Also, I know I don't really know y'all but if you need another set of hands let me know. Wrenching parties are always fun.
