  • AC was fully updated a few years ago so yes it actually works perfect!

But i do agree with you. There is a lot of unecessary junk in the engine bay id like to clean up. But i want to fully understand how everything works before i go ripping away at things. Ive already learned a ton about this thing since i bought it, and part of me just wants to leave it as is and solve it all at once with a crate 350 down the road. Only goal for now is making it reliable.

    • Should have my radiator back early this week. Converting the stock unit to a 3-row. A little pricey but it should provide plenty of cooling capacity when i take this thing out on the dunes in a month.

Also getting ready for the dual exhaust, ordered mufflers and tips tonight

      • Gonna sound awesome - and I'm sure it'll be nice to actually hear the truck too.

        • I got to hear a friends k5 blazer with a stock 305 and a single flowmaster a couple weekends ago and it sounded great. Hopefully this is even better.

          • Rollin along...

It isn't a project without some PBR Light:

            Exhaust parts showed up today:

Preview of how it will look (just put a tip on the stock exhaust):

Fan off, about to attack the water pump:

            Pump off:

Block flushed, new pump painted and installed:

And pics of the tach since i never took any:

Also the alternator looked original, so decided to buy a new one since it was a whopping $64 with the advance discount code

...cant wait to have this thing done and driving. Gonna be roadkilling it out to lansing this weekend almost immediately after its put back together.

                      • So someone mentioned they thought i should do a timing set while im this far in. Is that likely to be worn out at 108k miles?
