  • Concidering how many people upgrade to FAST intakes you'd think the stock LS1 intakes would be everywhere for next to nothing. Weird.

      • Prices for LS1 intakes are going through the roof as well. Probably because people like me stack them up in the corner Currently have one under my computer desk with my feet kicked up on it.

I don't think it's a terrible price considering the current going rate for the parts individually. I'm just not used to paying that price!

        • 225 isn't bad at all, I would pick it up, if its complete like pictured its a deal, even if shipping is 40 bucks. Gotta factor in, bare intake 80-140, TB 65, sensors on TB are 100-140 for both new, fuel rail I picked one up for 40, but probably more like 65-100, injectors used set 75-100, not sure what new set of injectors cost. Just add it up. Seems to me that is not a bad deal, however I would change out the block off plate, cause that one is fugly lol.

I just sold a bare LS1 intake for 125 picked up not even 2 weeks ago.

            • So I think the plan for the engine is currently going to be the following.. unless I can get a steal of a deal for 243/799 heads soon

              - Cleaned, Rebuilt 862 Heads with a valve job and upgraded springs (what recommendation on springs do you guys have? do I need a spring kit?)
              - Stock Rocker arms
              - Upgraded pushrods (chromemoly?)
              - ARP head bolts
              - New headgaskets (stock thickness?)
              - Engine will be cleaned up, either a honing or boring/honing
              - Flat top pistons (are the stock pistons forged or hypereutectic? what should I upgrade/swap to?)
              - Piston rings? preference?
              - Should I replace crank/cam bearings?
              - ARP rod bolts
              - TSP 224r Camshaft
              - LS1 intake\injectors\rails\throttle body (figured I could upgrade these later, for now just to get it on the road)
              - Racing Innovations Long tube headers
              - what other gaskets will I need? timing chain? oil pan? let me know what your thoughts are?

I am hoping to be at about 10:1 - 10.5:1 compression ratio I think

              thoughts?

                          • So I think for right now since spring is coming soon, that I am going to stop focusing so much on the LSx swap and start working on just getting the car driveable for this summer. I'll be ordering my carpet here soon so I can at least attempt to put the interior together!
