  • I need some of those fender flares for my car so I can get some extra clearance for my big ass rear wheels.

        • Missing passenger seat (20lb), dash pad, glove box, trim under steering wheel, kick panels, driver sail panel, and all trunk plastic. Full tank should make up for all of that as normally it will only be run 1/4 tank. Needs a good corner weighting with me in it.

          Rear seats are in it.

          • I really need to get mine weighed, i'd really like to know where it sits. I'd like to be under 3000.

            • It survived the first heat. Sitting DFL but should be able to pick up the pace a lot.

              • Well the Camaro made it through the shakedown with absolutely zero reliability issues. Performance was another matter.
-Lots of inside tire spin, will be making a Watts and rear bar adjustment
-Jumped entire sections of the course, needs more damping all around
-Brake hop, need to get ABS working and fine tune the decoupled torque arm
-Had many redlights, not sure if this was the flapper deal, me, or a combination of the two
-This car actually slalomed very well when it wasn't hop skipping across the course
-The turn arounds sucked in this car, massively. Felt like trying to maneuver through a parking garage
-Need to remove the clock spring from the steering column to eliminate the clicking and very notchy steering
                -Needs an alignment badly
-Launch RPM still needs to be a bit higher once warm, likely 3500rpm or so
-Going from an E46 M3 on Bridgestones to the Camaro on Hoosiers was by far the biggest change I have ever experienced. They absolutely cannot be driven even somewhat similarly, like driving a normal car vs an oxcart.

                • Since all of the part stores I went to could not read the ABS module in the car, I just bought an Innova 3150d scan tool. According to their documentation it should be able to pull and reset ABS codes. As a bonus it can read and reset SRS codes on vehicles as well. This will be very useful in the Fiesta as I have had to remove the passenger seat to be able to fit four 315/35R18 tires in it, setting off the airbag light. Now I can take care of that without relying on the dealer.

                  • I was finally able to check the alignment today, the left front camber was at -3.0 and the right front was -3.2 with caster around 4 for each. I think that's a bit much for a Hoosier on an SLA suspension with an 800lb spring, so I backed it off to -2.8 with 4.5 caster. Hoping to get all the other changes done tomorrow before another full weekend on the Wilmington pad.

                        • Cones with black bases are the devil, they are much less forgiving than full orange cones and will tear things up when you hit them hard enough. Managed to punch a hole in my front bumper cover and knock the accessory belt off. I really should get a new tensioner but I have a hard time spending the money until it completely fails.

                          • Ouch! Those heavier bases should NOT be used.

                            • According to my data logger I am seeing sustained cornering forces of ~1.3g, with low speed ones being more like 1.25g and higher speed ones in the 1.35g range. Highest recorded so far has been 1.43g. The power calculation has always seemed low to me in the past, but according to it I should be in the neighborhood of 340whp. Actual number is likely a good bit higher.
