  • My spare bedroom is starting to get full of car parts.

Bought a spare set of HID low's and a set of HID fogs. 6k.

Bought a set of mirrors from a member here. They were totally messed up(rattle can paint job)
Took them to local body shop and had them fix/repaint them. Much much better.

Next weekend I may try and get the car back to my house.

    Currently the list:

    1. HID Fogs
    2. Grille
    3. Rear bumper lights
    4. Antenna
    5. Headers
    6. Exhaust Tips
    7. Upper/Lower control arms
    8. Modify Driveshaft Safety Loop
    9. Paint calipers/rotors
    10. Door trim piece
    11. Mirrors
    12. Speakers(may just buy all new)
    13. Detail
    14. Fresh oil
    15. AC pulley

      • I think we are going to the Kentucky/Tennessee area again. As great as the Focus was, I always regretted not taking the Camaro.

                • Cant get this door sweep off for the life of mine. Unscrewed the three screws and just can't get it off.

Put some speakers in the front finally. They are non monsoon speakers so they are not perfect but close to it considering I already had them. So nice to have 4 working speakers now, really missed having music last year.

Tried WD40, didn't clean this post up. Any other ideas?

Funny thing about the exhaust, it fell apart as I was driving it back. Apparently someone forgot to tighten the clamp that holds the y pipe to the resonator and tips...so to answer your question its currently strapped together and running via open Y. Really pissed me off because I can tell it wants to rev now. I have a feeling I just gained more than butt dyno power with this exhaust.

Ah ok. Let me know if you want to play around with tuning it. I have HP Tuners Pro and I'm hesitant about burning $100 worth of credits to fine tune my 98 that's damn close. $300 and I can tune unlimited 98's. I have three WBo2 setups that I can log with.

Then again, I do have access to EFI Live which is 'freeeeee' (damn that high pitched commercial) to tune 97-98 LS1A PCM's.

                        • As for the mirror area, did you let the WD sit for a while? If so, then it looks like it needs to be cut a bit with a hard abrasive

Thanks and yes it is. Unfortunately when I put it in the paint cracked Either it was too cold or I should have been storing the grille in the same position as the pumper.

Should have just bought the SLP grille lol

It still looks better than my other one though

                              • Another day of progress in the books. Entire exhaust system is on the car now. Got my Speed Engineering headers installed. Long story short, these headers are awesome. I honestly can't see how they could be any better other than if they were 1 7/8's. All the hype on LS1tech is completely correct. Slid right in, no issues at all. Got new bolts from the parts store that worked perfect as well. Putting them in took 15 min between the pair. Scott also cleaned my IAC and that appears to have solved the goofy idle. Car idles at 850 RPM, sounds excellent now.
