Welcome to the Michigan FBody Association website.
The Michigan FBody Association is a centralized website for FBody enthusiasts to discuss what's going on in the Michigan area. MiFbody.com was created to allow for an easy one-stop place to find out what's going on in Michigan as far as FBody events, to find out what clubs are available in your immediate area, and for an easy place to post classifieds for items you want to sell! Our goal was to create a more close-knit community of FBody enthusiasts in the state of Michigan, and to bring Camaro and Firebird enthusiasts alike together for some amazing FBody events!
The most important thing to know about the Michigan FBody Association is that we are NOT a club! The Michigan FBody Association is open to everyone, and is a community. Thus, we will have get togethers, casual cruises, events, and such like that, but this is not an exclusive club and it's 100% free to join this site! So what are you waiting for? Register now!

The tips are going to be put on by the exhaust shop. No way Ill be able to get them centered. I also need some hangers and some welding done. Removing the existing bullet and putting a Borla XR1 in ASAP. I want to get the exhaust 100% first thing, then focus on all the other stuff. Going to try and get it into the exhaust shop this week if we have a clear day.

Another day of progress in the books. Entire exhaust system is on the car now. Got my Speed Engineering headers installed. Long story short, these headers are awesome. I honestly can't see how they could be any better other than if they were 1 7/8's. All the hype on LS1tech is completely correct. Slid right in, no issues at all.
Speed engineering is the company making the stainless LT1 pacesetter knockoff that people were complaining about in another thread here a while back. I agree though i think for LT1s theyre the best header on the market and it sounds the same for LS1. Looking forward to hearing it in person. Im even debating buying a new set now that theyre being made again and selling my used set which has some flaws.

From what I have read the race version bits perfect but the emissions version is a little tighter fit. I can fit my enter hand between the primary and k member. It sounds great.
+1 on the LS1 Speed Engineering headers. If my kooks headers ever go to $hit, i'll be putting these in. These are quite a bit lighter than my kooks were, so probably a bit lighter guage and lighter duty design. Either way, for the price, i'm pretty sure these can;t be beat. flange was as thck if not thicker than my kooks. Bends were nice and clean, welds looked clean and solid, merge looked pretty good also.
