    • it's already gone. the car never had it since i've owned it. i have the box for it sitting in my basement i think, i'm not sure if it doesn't work just because that's out or what. but with the V breaks up front and my overly aggressive pad choice (probably dialing it back to HPS's when i wear these out) it's very ease to lock up the front tires. i'm trying to dial the bias back a hair to help with that. also will be getting better tires up there as soon as it's in the budget. not a fan of these invos.

      • For what you are doing with your car I think it would be worth reinstalling. I tried running my car without abs at the silverdome a couple years ago and i was getting inner tire front lockup around almost every corner. Glad it was just a fuse i pulled to try it instead of the entire module. On the flip side, thats the only reason I have it at all. Stopping in a straight line i could care less if i had abs or not.

          • Someday the parts list will come to an end. Luckily I've had lots of parts to sell to counter the stuff I've bought.

            • Getting close, have to get a broken exhaust bolt out of one of the heads, then manifolds go on. Getting close to setting the car back onto it.

                  • Learn from my mistakes. Do the motor mounts now, before you install the engine. redoing them on your back later sux. who's headers? Speed eng.? looked like their Y pipe. If so port the openings before you assemble them. They need it. Much more linear acceleration curve and more pull at higher R's, according to the mark 1 mod 0 Butt dyno. They're pretty restrictive in stock form. heres after the work

                    • i'm using solid mounts.

i gotta go out there tomorrow and pit them on, i'll hit them with a carbide bit in the Dremel before i put them on.

Someday, automobile engines will evolve enough to have a design for attaching manifolds that does NOT include bolts/studs that break off. There's GOT to be a better way.

                          • 99% of the time its the michigan climate that causes all the headaches. cars that see any kind of daily duty around here see a lot of extreme heat cycling in the colder months. My car was a southern car, I put headers on when it was 10 years old with 85k miles and not a single bolt gave me the slightest trouble. (other than the f**ing y-pipe ) My car also still has original engine mounts ... 20 years on them now and no issues.

                              • well hopefully mine will be east next time since it hardly sees miles now.

went out today and cleaned up the headers as advised above. the storm kept my buddy who was going to help me with the broken bolt away. i got one out with vice grips but the last one is broken 1 thread below the surface.
