    • Not bad. Sounds like a bolt on 5.3 is right in the ball park with a bolt on LT1.

        Nice work.

What, you didn't want to be known as Cottontail Racing?

          • swapped to a 85mm maf last night, just need to get the ecu flashed for it. also have a LS6 intake mani on it's way, should be good for a little more air to go with the 100 shot next spring. hopefully bring that 13.6 down into the 12s!

            • Sitting home bored and I thought I'd update the build thread since I haven't posted in a while. Car is parked for winter, though I'm not sure why with this weather lol. Winter projects are:
              - Install wideband
              - Get nitrous hooked up (probably 100 or 150 shot)
-Clean up wiring in engine bay
              - Remove the ABS crap and replace with willwood bias adjuster
              - Install projectors/HIDs
              - 5% tint
              - I really need new tires. With all that brake in the front it needs more grip, and the tires in the back are bald. Probably going to go with 285F/295R Nitto NT05s. I had those on my 17x11s and liked them a lot.

I also am having some valve covers powder coated, and couldn't stand the thought of the ugly stock truck coil brackets on nice covers. I found these coil brackets made by MA Performance and thought they looked cool so I grabbed a set.

                    • 347convert from Motown Muscle. My old roommate worked at Elite Electro coating (on Grove Rd right past the pepsi plant?) for a while and I worked right across the street in one of those long warehouses. I forgot all about that place and I still work right down the road.

                          • Traded a set of C5 wagon wheels for a Edelbrock strut tower brace and a Summit Racing differential cover this weekend, I'll toss them on once it's a little warmer. Who know when the diff fluid was last changed.

                            • Mini update: been a slow winter because i got into shooting pistols so now the car has to share it's budget lol. I just finished up getting the Wideband and bottle warmer in. I still need to replace the plugs, and make the little thing for the IAT sensor to pull timing for the spray and get a fitting to hook a pressure gauge onto the bottle and then it'll be ready to spray the 5.3.

As soon as it goes back to spring I've got a little pile of parts to get installed (valve covers, diff cover, STB, LCA relocation brackets) but nothing too fun.

Here's a pic of the new Innovate PSN-1 wideband for nitrous that I got, it's got some pretty cool features. It will automatically stop spraying if it leans out or the bottle pressure drops below set amounts, and it's got a RPM window switch built into it.
